Prior to joining the CCDMP, Chanel worked for more than 15 years in the education and early years sectors, including as a Montessori elementary teacher and program facilitator in EarlyON Child and Family Centres. Her work to support sector organization, training, and advocacy was realized through leadership roles in provincial organizations and working groups. Chanel continues to supporting young children and their families through the Centre's community work and partnerships. Currently, she is working towards an M.A. in Adult Education and Community Development at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at UofT. Chanel’s research interests include parent/caregiver informal and social learning within community contexts, parent/caregivers with learning disabilities.
